Find of the day | WWII Ammunition Bag

In a day where items were made out of necessity and style was the least of man's problems, came some of the most beautifully crafted items. Their strength and longevity only adds to their beauty but letting us admire them for what they were back when. So, before I go on I need to thank Nick of A Time to Get for e-mailing me just in the nick of time (and no that pun was not intentional but gladly accepted).

Vtg WWII Ammunition M-2 Field Gear BackPack Bag 1945

It measures 19" across, 22" high and 6½" wide at the bottom.

The different colored back panels is a little suspect, but who gives a shit. The whole piece if examined has different colored canvas all over.

The added details make this piece so much more enticing. Is the rope tie original?

The dual handle on the side is nice touch.

Based off the look, the yarn stitched "KF" looks relatively new or at least not original.

Find of the day | M-43 Field Jacket

The M-43 field jacket is the original field jacket designed for WWII and has been updated to the M-51 and M-63 and so on. This one is in great condition with no tears or holes and unlike most of my finds on eBay has a whopping 5 days till the bidding ends. So either start the bid at $30.00 or buy it now for $45.00.

Find of the day | WWII Army Barber Box

I have always been interested in the art of Barbering (is that a word?). It is a true art that takes many years to master and the disappointing fact is that it is dying. So, my find of the day is a little something to commemorate this dying art.

Vintage WWII Era Army barber Box

Check the link above for the eBay find or look after the jump for more information. I could not get more pictures, so I apologize.

The original contents list is still attached to the lid. included in the kit are two pairs of scissors, tray, remington Clippers, Ward clippers, Andis Clippers, tree blades for clippers and comb. We are not sure if any of the contents are original. None of the clipper have been tested.

Find of the day | WWII Waltham Military Watch

Today while researching some watches online I found this little beauty. It is described as a 1940's Waltham military watch from WWII. It is in good condition with some visible wear and tear. It has all the signs of love, care and many years of use.

The band and crystal are both new and hence not original to the piece.
