"It is the nature of man to rise to greatness if greatness is expected of him." - John Steinbeck

Have you ever wanted to do something great; to place your footprint in the depth of time? Well, I am positive none of you are actually sedentary assessing your current life's position and coming to the conclusion that mediocrity is sufficient (whether mediocrity or greatness is your current life's position). Nevertheless, I am uncovering that it is ever so difficult to place myself in this ever broadening world. To find my niche in the great expanse. So, for all of you in this current position I have some simple advise.

Greatness does not fall into your lap, you have to create it. You need to be working on it 24/7 for a long time. And, if you have not started working on, do so. Being savvy and eloquent is not enough is today's society. As the title of this entry so states, you must first put yourself in a position of possible greatness so that greatness can be expected of you. Only then will greatness happen.

You must have an edge, something no one else has. And this edge must be relevant. Something you can't develop by sitting behind your computer screen, looking through applications on your iPhone, or by reading Tweets. You need go out there and experience the world first hand. Hence, go into solitude on a beach in Latin America or Africa, or go to Spain and immerse yourself amongst the locals.

Lastly, fight for what you believe in. The worst that can happen is nothing. But, do not let others get in the way of what you believe. If that were to happen nothing would get done in this already too apathetic world. So, go. What are you waiting for?
